LOW ZINC BLOOD TEST LEVEL. What does zinc deficiency mean?

Lower limit of zinc (zn) test is 60 μg/dL (or 9.2 µmol/L).

Zinc is a mineral important for wound healing, immune function, normal taste and smell. It is also needed for DNA synthesis. Zinc supports normal growth and development during pregnancy, childhood, and adolescence. Zinc deficiency may lead into Hypozincemia.

There are lot of symptoms which can indicate zinc deficiency, some of them are mild anemia,diverse forms of skin lesions, night blindness (poor night vision), white spots on fingernails, diarrhoea, dyslexia, and so on.
